The Settlement Approval Hearing will start on September 7 at 9:30 a.m. (Pacific Daylight Time) and may run for several days.

Class Members who have registered to speak at the hearing will receive a separate link that is unique to them. If you are a class member and have not registered to speak but would like the opportunity to tell the judge your view of the proposed settlement, please contact Class Counsel by email at dayscholars@waddellphillips.ca  or by calling 1-888-222-6845, and we will try to accommodate your request.

The settlement approval hearing is an important step of every proposed settlement in a class action lawsuit.

The judge will consider the proposed settlement agreement, written and oral submissions from lawyers, and written and oral statements from Class Members, and must decide whether the proposed settlement is fair, reasonable and in the best interest of the Class as a whole.

After the hearing, the judge will take some time to review all the information provided to the court before making a final decision on whether to approve or refuse the proposed settlement.
